Welcome!

More than 30 years of research shows that children do better when their parents and families are involved both at home and at school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. You can make these outcomes a reality for your child, your school, and your community by being involved in PTA.

Maplewood PTA has many facets from the activities we support and the fundraising programs that support these activities. Some of the activities we do are PTA parent driven like the Yearbook, Chess Club, and Teacher Appreciation Week, where other activities we support financially such as buses for field trips, speakers for classes, and pupil enrichment.

What does our PTA do?
Activities are run by parent volunteers like yourself. Though our budget is only $23,000, parents supply many hours of support to the school through their own volunteer efforts.

How to Get Involved:

The PTA is run by parents! The more parents who are involved, the more we can do. We are always looking for parents to be involved. There are a few ways to be involved.
Become a Member of our PTA! Membership is $15 per person. Membership money helps support the PTA and the activities we do.

Come to the PTA meetings to find out how to get more involved, what is going on at our school and community, and give your input on issues that impact our students. Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month during the school year at 6:30 pm. We provide dinner at 6:15 and childcare until 7:30.

Become a Parent Leader and help out the school by volunteering some time to one of the many activities going on. There are always committees looking for people to help! Try your skills at one of the many fundraisers or if you don’t want to do fundraising, help out with Chess Club, Hospitality Committee, or Parent Resource Committee.
